Job summary

North American Dental Group (NADG) partners with our practice to deliver best-in-class patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will support clinicians, prepare patients for treatment, and assist with restorative procedures to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes sterilization, charting, radiographs, and adherence to OSHA and HIPAA guidelines, with a strong focus on patient comfort and safety. Employment is full-time with standard hours.

Qualifications

  • Dental assisting certification or on-the-job training preferred but not required.
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred; will consider new graduates
  • Radiography/X-ray certification for respective state preferred; must obtain within 90 days of hire
  • CPR certification not required upon hire
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Commitment to providing exceptional service, support, and education to patient.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent chair-side clinical support to Doctors and Hygienists including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
  • Record and review patient health history; make chart entries under doctor guidance and ensure forms/signatures in dental software.
  • Review daily schedule to set up trays and instruments; maintain asepsis and prepare materials.
  • Expose and develop dental diagnostic radiographs; assist dentists during procedures following OSHA guidelines.

Monday-Thursday 8:00 am-4:00 pm

Some Fridays: 8:00 am-4:00 pm with possible travel to our South Hills location if required

Responsibilities

Dental Assistant partners with the practice team to provide excellent clinical support to help patients get the care they need. Dental Assistant will help prepare the patient for treatment and assist the dentist in restorative dentistry.

Skills Required to Make a Great "Impression" on Our Team
  • Provides excellent chair-side clinical support and assistance to Doctors and Hygienists which includes but is not limited to: charting, operatory set/clean up, and patient education.

  • Reviews the daily schedule to set up appropriate trays and instruments.
  • Prepares patients, sterilizes and disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays, maintains chain of asepsis, prepares materials, and assists dentists during dental procedures following OSHA guidelines.
  • Exposes and develops dental diagnostic radiographs.
  • Follows OSHA regulations and safety requirements to include compliance with HIPAA guidelines, CPR, X-rays, and other required certifications and registrations.
