Job summary

West Coast Dental Services in California is seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to support clinicians in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced DSO environment.

The ideal candidate will hold CA DA certification, CA X-ray certification, and CPR/BLS, with at least 1 year of experience. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, enabling effective patient communication and education.

Qualifications

• Active California Dental Assistant certification required.
• X-ray certification for California.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
• Experience with Denticon or similar dental software preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments.
• Assist dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
• Take digital X-rays in compliance with CA radiology standards.
• Chart procedures and document clinical notes accurately.
• Provide patient education on post-treatment care and oral hygiene.
• Maintain inventory and assist with ordering dental supplies.
• Ensure OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control compliance.
• Support front office when needed to enhance patient experience.

The ideal candidate is patient-focused, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality clinical environment. This role supports our providers in delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining efficiency and compliance with California regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
