Charles Street Dental in Baltimore, MD is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant. You will assist the dentist during procedures, prepare and sterilize instruments, take X-rays, set up treatment rooms, and help educate patients to feel comfortable and informed.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland EFDA license and Maryland Radiology license required.
• Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Experience with digital software and patient education.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to guide doctor through multi-chair setups and remain reliable.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during procedures and with impressions and temporaries.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain infection control.
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
• Set up and break down treatment rooms before and after procedures.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Maintain accurate patient charts and a clean clinical environment.
• Ensure patient comfort and help ease anxiety during treatments.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures (required experience with Scanning and fabricate temporaries)
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Set up and break down treatment rooms before and after procedures
• Provide patient education on proper oral hygiene and post-procedure care
• Prepare and manage patient charts, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
• Assist with taking dental impressions and preparing materials for dental appliances
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
• Welcome patients and ensure patient comfort and help ease anxiety during treatments
• Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards in the practice
• Other tasks as instructed

Qualifications

• Active Maryland dental assistant EFDA license
• Maryland Radiology license Required
• Must have ability to guide doctor through multiple chairs, friendly, patient centric personality, team player, timely and reliable
• Dental Assistant training/school certification
• 2 or more years of dental assisting clinical experience
