Job summary

Dental Haven in Appleton, WI is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dentists in general, prosthodontics, endodontics and pediatric dentistry. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist during procedures, take X-rays, and maintain HIPAA-compliant patient care in a fast-paced clinic.

You will collaborate with a busy dental team to deliver high-quality care, ensure infection control, operate Eaglesoft or Dentrix, and explain procedures clearly to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control.
• Proficient with Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic is a plus.
• Ability to operate X-ray machines and other imaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Excellent communication with patients and families; HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support patients by taking vital signs, explaining procedures in understandable terms, and addressing their concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring all equipment is functional and sterile for each patient.
• Collaborate closely with the dental team to facilitate four-handed dentistry techniques for faster, more efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques.
• Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic or other medical documentation systems is a plus.
• Ability to operate X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to pediatric patients and their families
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records and patient confidentiality.

Pay will be determined according to experience

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
