Dental Assistant

Downtown Dental Associates is looking for a Dental Assistant with experience in crowns, root canals, Invisalign, and iTero 3D Scanner to join our team.

More about the role

• Greet and welcome patients, ensuring their comfort and providing education throughout treatment.
• Review patient health histories to ensure quality care.
• Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments (iTero 3D scanner, digital photography, etc.).
• Provide chairside assistance during procedures in accordance with state dental practice acts.
• Utilize Dentrix for scheduling and record keeping.
• Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols and OSHA & CDC guidelines.
• Manage supplies and inventory, including placing orders as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to implement Heartland Dental systems and improve office workflow.

About Downtown Dental Associates

Our office is located off North McDuffie Street near the Anderson County Main Library. We are a welcoming team of 8 that values collaboration and community. We seek a Dental Assistant with at least 1 year of experience to join our positive environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by state law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle PHI with confidentiality, adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Preferred Experience

• 1+ years of dental assisting experience.
• Experience with Dentrix or similar dental software.
• Dental assisting school certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Prolonged sitting and standing.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Availability for periodic training sessions.
• A TB test is required prior to employment, except in FL & TN.
