Job summary

Lucky Brand is seeking an Assistant Designer – Denim COE to support seasonal denim collections from concept through production for Lucky Brand and Nautica Women’s value channels. The role collaborates with the Denim Design team and cross-functional partners to deliver brand-right, trend-driven products.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about denim. You will learn technical aspects of denim product development while contributing creatively across development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of design experience or relevant internships preferred.
• Strong interest in denim design and product development.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with PLM systems is a plus.
• Strong sketching, CAD, and technical flat skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with AI design and visualization tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support design team in creating and developing seasonal denim collections.
• Research trends to identify opportunities for brand customers.
• Prepare inspiration boards, concepts, trend presentations, and color direction.
• Create sketches, CADs, technical flats, and presentation materials.
• Develop washes, fabrications, trims, and design details.
• Conduct competitive shopping and market research.
• Maintain tech packs and documentation in PLM.
• Organize sample development and manage timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners throughout development.
• Monitor denim fabrics and silhouettes trends.
