Guidehouse in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Central Denials Account Representative to support medical billing by submitting information to payers via portals, fax, email, or mail and by reviewing documents to update patient accounts.

You will mitigate denials, handle UB04 and 1500 claim files, perform non-clinical appeals, and collaborate with supervisor on payer trends, while maintaining strong communication with internal teams.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 0-2 years medical billing experience with UB04, appeals & denials.

Responsibilities

• Submit requested information and documents to all payers via payer portals, fax, email or mail.
• Review and upload documents received by payers to correct patient accounts.
• Mitigate denials by timely submitting all information needed to complete claims processing.
• Escalate payer issues to a supervisor and communicate areas of concern.
• Make outbound calls to Insurance Companies to resolve claim denials and account balances.
