Job summary

Civil Constructors LLC in Franklin, TN is seeking a Demolition Superintendent to oversee field operations, supervise foremen and crews, and ensure production, budgets, and schedules are met. This role requires strong leadership, safety discipline, and the ability to coordinate across project teams while maintaining compliance with standards.

You will conduct weekly site visits, review plans, and handle staffing and training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of demolition projects and ensure safety, on schedule, and in compliance with project and municipal requirements and regulatory standards.
• Responsible for strategically assigning demo foreman to projects and ensuring projects are appropriately staffed.
• Monitors daily crew progress, production, salvage, labor and equipment costs to ensure estimates and budgets are met.
• Reviews project specific demo plans and schedules to identify potential delays and proactively implement strategies to avoid setbacks.
• Responsible for interviewing and hiring of demo foreman and ensuring crews are properly trained and staffed. Includes monitoring crew size, classifications and rate of pay.
• Conducts weekly site visits to each assigned project to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient demolition process.
• Responsible for accountability, corrective and disciplinary action of demo foreman and personnel, including termination when necessary.
• Responsible for reviewing daily electronic reporting of timecards, diaries, jobsite photos, quantities, safety observations and JHAs submitted by Demo Foreman.
• Maintains clear and direct communication with Foreman, Superintendents, Project Managers, Clients, and Office Staff.
• Attend pre, exit and post job review meetings as well as onsite job progress meetings as needed.
• Ensure the proper use of safety equipment, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), shoring, and fall protection, by all field personnel.
• Must uphold company values by having a respectful, positive, and professional attitude with employees, subcontractors, and clients.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
• Ability to stand and walk in rough and uneven surfaces in all weather conditions.
• Must be available to work a 6-day work week or as the job requires.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Job description

The Demolition Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all Demolition field operations related to the company’s projects.
