Job summary

Heichel Plumbing Inc. is seeking a demolition laborer to safely perform on-site demolition tasks and related physical labor for construction projects.

Responsibilities include trenching, backfilling, material handling, traffic control, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Requirements include a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, minimum 3 years of experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and passing a DOT drug screen with a motor vehicle

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Requires a clean driving record.
• At least 3 years of previous experience.
• Be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen.
• Background check including motor vehicle record review.
• Normal setting outdoors and/or driving a monitored vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, compact and level earth to grade specifications.
• Clean, remove and prepare materials to eliminate hazards.
• Control traffic near work zones and signal operators for machinery movement.
• Observe and comply with safety procedures and site policies (OSHA).
• Perform manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting and positioning materials.
• Care for tools, daily cleaning and maintenance.
• Load tools/equipment from trucks and unload trash for disposal.
