Job summary

The NeuroMedical Center in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Neurology Department. The role focuses on comprehensive primary care for adults, including new and established visits, cognitive assessments, and care planning in a neuroscience setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of dementia-sensitive primary care experience, hold an accredited NP or PA program, and are Louisiana-licensed with BLS.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of dementia-sensitive primary care experience.
• Licensed as appropriate in Louisiana.
• American Heart Association BLS and Healthcare Provider certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients.
• Accurately and timely documents patient care in the medical record.
• Conducts patient interviews and documents medical, psychosocial, and health histories.
• Collaborates with physicians in diagnosing medical conditions, developing care plans, and determining treatments.
• Provides patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and ongoing care needs.
• Coordinates with physicians and other healthcare team members to support continuity and quality of patient care.
