Base pay range

$42,000.00/yr - $46,000.00/yr

Oak Leaf Manor North is looking for a dynamic, hardworking and energetic Dementia Program Director to add to our team! Oak Leaf Manor North prides itself in the care that we provide to our residents. We specialize in personal care and dementia care for a vibrant group of seniors.

This role is an activities leadership position with a touch of nursing that would assist in overseeing the secured Memory Care/Dementia Unit at Oak Leaf Manor North. The position would be primarily day shift hours, but candidates would need to be flexible to cover the needs of the unit when necessary. This position will be in charge of Activities Programming, assisting the Memory Care Coordinator with overall execution of the Memory Care unit, communication with families, assisting with nursing including care at times, and assisting with activities.

The starting salary range for this position is $42,000 to $46,000 annually, depending on experience.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Work with Residents who require assistance with day-to-day living and overseeing the smooth operations of the memory care unit.
• Develops memory care activities calendar each month.
• Educates staff and families about positive dementia care.
• Maintains strong relationships with Administrator and Nursing leadership team.
• Assists with developing and implementing training.
• Communicates with families to resolve resident challenges.
• Establishes and maintains a positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all residents, co-workers, families, and facility guests. Assists with the welcoming process for all newresidents and new employees.
• Manages Activities assistants in Memory Care.
• Manages PCAs with help of nursing leadership.
• Memory Care Orientation and Education Training to ensure employees are able to reach their required yearly training hours.
• Works in partnership with the Administrator, DOW, and Admissions Coordinator to place them appropriately within the continuum levels of care
• Observes for any signs of resident abuse or neglect. Takes immediate action to prevent harm and report incidents according to Company policy
• Implementation and training in Point Click Care
• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  
  

Qualifications And Skills

• Able to develop and execute Dementia Programming.
• Experience with basic computer program
• HS Diploma or GED
• Valid Drivers License and good driving record
• Ability to drive 10 passenger bus, utilize kitchen equipment, various activity equipment and tools.
• Activity Director Certification (Preferred but not required)
