ComForCare Home Care - Richmond/Glen Allen seeks a reliable caregiver to provide 1-on-1 care for a senior male client with late-stage dementia in Guatay on Friday mornings. The role offers a consistent weekly schedule and requires hands-on assistance, prompting for hygiene and meals due to cognitive decline.

The ideal candidate will have HCA registration, a current Live Scan, a recent TB test, and experience with dementia and incontinence care.

Qualifications

• Active Home Care Aide registration with CDSS (or willingness to register).
• Completed Live Scan background check.
• Negative TB test within 90 days before hire.
• Prior experience with seniors with late-stage dementia or Alzheimer's.
• Experience with adult incontinence care and safe hygiene practices.
• Dependable, punctual and able to work independently in a rural home.

Responsibilities

• Toileting & Incontinence Care: assist to bathroom hourly and maintain hygiene.
• Meal Preparation: breakfast/lunch prep; serve in small pieces to aid recognition.
• Companionship & Safety: provide calm supervision for 5 hours while family is away.
