Job summary

Wellhaven Home Care Columbia is seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers for a part-time position in Lexington, SC. You will provide daily living support, follow care plans, and assist with medications, meals, and mobility. Necessary experience includes CNA/PCA work and dementia care; CPR certification is preferred or willingness to obtain. Competitive pay and ongoing training are offered.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a caregiver, CNA, or PCA required.
• Dementia and long-term care experience a plus.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Physically able to assist with hands-on care and mobility.
• Reliable, compassionate, and communicative.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene
• Follow individualized care plans and monitor client health
• Provide medication reminders and support
• Offer companionship and emotional encouragement
• Ensure safety through mobility assistance and proper transfers
• Assist with meal prep and nutritional support
• Document care accurately and report changes to the office
• Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and staff
