Job summary

Wellhaven Home Care in West Columbia, SC is hiring part-time caregivers who are passionate about supporting clients at home. You’ll deliver daily living assistance, follow care plans, provide medication reminders, and offer companionship while ensuring safety and dignity.

We value work/life balance, flexible schedules, weekly pay, and ongoing training. Requirements include 2 years of caregiver experience (CNA/PCA acceptable), dementia/long-term care experience, CPR certification or willingness

Qualifications

• Prior 2 years experience as a caregiver, CNA, or PCA required.
• Dementia and long-term care experience is required.
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Physically able to assist with hands-on care and mobility.
• Reliable, compassionate, and communicative.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living tasks: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene.
• Follow individualized care plans and monitor client health.
• Provide medication reminders and support.
• Offer companionship and emotional encouragement.
• Ensure safety through mobility assistance and proper transfers.
• Assist with meal prep and nutritional support.
• Document care accurately and report changes to the office.
• Collaborate with families, healthcare teams, and staff.
