Job summary

Brookdale is seeking a dedicated caregiver in Plano, TX, to provide dementia care and assist with daily living activities. You will support residents with bathing, dressing, meals, and mobility while following individualized service plans.

Caregivers will maintain accurate records, promote independence, and participate in engagement programs. State regulations govern medication assistance; Brookdale supports a safe, compassionate, and respectful community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Three to six months related direct-care experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of dementia, particularly Alzheimer's, is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provides dementia care including ADL support and engagement per the resident’s service plan.
• Assists with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfers and meals.
• Maintains accurate daily records and reports changes to the supervisor.
• Encourages independence and supports Daily Path engagement programs.
• Follows medication procedures as allowed by state regulations.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents.

Education
