Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience with elderly or dementia populations.
• Experience providing programs or services to the elderly.
• Must be responsible, organized, and dependable with strong communication to seniors and families.
• MS Office skills are required.
• Flexible, a good team player, and able to work some evenings and weekend hours.
• Patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm.
• Clear verbal and written expression; driving history should be accident-free.
• Background in recreation or art therapy is highly desirable.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; master’s encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Help plan and lead activities to create engaging daily programs for dementia residents.
• Assist with transporting residents to community outings and events.
• Support calendar preparation and decorate for holidays and special events.
• Supervise residents during activities and observe changes in health or status.
• Maintain organized activity supplies and inventory.
