Job description

Job Overview: A growing law firm is seeking a motivated and capable Demands/Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with 1-2 years of personal injury experience to work in a supportive environment and gain hands-on experience in litigation. Location:

Duties:

1. Manage a significant caseload, ensuring cases are progressing efficiently.
2. Draft and file pleadings, notices, and other documents with the court.
3. Track important deadlines, including statutes of limitations and service of process.
4. Review and analyze court documents and other legal paperwork.
5. Attend court hearings as needed.
6. Review and evaluate medical records, insurance correspondence, settlement releases, and other evidence to build strong cases.
7. Collaborate with multiple departments, including Case Management, Demands, and Liens.
8. Maintain communication with clients to guide them through the filing of their lawsuit and the settlement process.

Requirements:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to the California Bar.
3. 1-2 years of experience in Personal Injury preferred.
4. Highly organized with excellent follow-up skills.
5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.

3. Proficient in legal document preparation and filing.
