Job summary

Ergon Inc. is hiring on-site in Phoenix for a Demand & Supply Chain Master Planner/Scheduler.

You will develop and manage the master production plan, balancing demand with production capacity and inventory constraints while coordinating with Customer Support, Sales, Engineering, and Plant Operations. You will lead data-driven decision making, analyze forecasts, monitor inventory metrics, and optimize scheduling using SAP and planning tools.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in demand planning, supply chain, and inventory management.
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and advanced planning tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on strategic stock plans, customer orders, and forecasts.
• Assign production to facilities based on location, cost, and inventory/production levels to ensure efficient delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to align production capabilities, quality standards, and delivery requirements.
• Collaborate with Customer Support to address demand shifts and maintain service levels.
• Track and verify inventory accuracy and provide weekly stock updates.
• Verify BOM accuracy with Engineering to improve scheduling and cost management.
• Analyze production data, market trends, and forecasts to support inventory planning and cost reduction.
• Monitor inventory performance metrics and optimize scheduling to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Utilize SAP and advanced planning tools for BOM accuracy and MRP reporting; leverage Excel for data analysis.

We are hiring for an on-site Demand & Supply Chain Master Planner/Scheduler at our corporate office in Phoenix, AZ.

The Supply Chain Master Planner is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing the master production plan to meet customer demand while balancing production, inventory, and shipping constraints. This role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with Customer Support, Sales, Production Facilities, and Engineering to ensure seamless production flow, optimized scheduling, and cost-effective inventory management.

General Duties

• Master Production Planning:
  • Develop and maintain a Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on strategic stock plans, customer orders, and sales forecasts.
  • Assign production to facilities based on location, cost considerations, and inventory/production levels to ensure efficient delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including Customer Support, Sales, Engineering, and production facilities, to align production capabilities, quality control standards, and delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support to address customer demand shifts and maintain high levels of service.
  • Work closely with the Plant Operations Manager to track and verify inventory accuracy, facilitating weekly updates on stock levels.
  • Work with Engineering to verify Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy, enhancing scheduling and cost management.
• Data-Driven Decision-Making:
  • Analyze production data, market trends, and forecasts to support proactive inventory planning and cost reduction strategies.
  • Monitor inventory performance metrics and optimize production scheduling based on demand forecasts to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
• ERP and Planning Software Expertise:
  • Utilize ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and advanced planning tools for efficient supply chain management, with a particular focus on BOM accuracy and MRP reporting.
  • Leverage Microsoft Excel and ERP software for detailed data analysis and reporting.
• Inventory & Cost Management:
  • Manage plant transfers of finished goods to ensure an adequate supply at facilities without direct production capabilities.
  • Understand Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and the cost structure of finished goods, ensuring BOM accuracy before scheduling production within SAP.
• Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization:
  • Apply Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies to streamline the production schedule and improve inventory accuracy.
  • Actively participate in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to foster continuous improvement in supply chain processes and address potential bottlenecks.
• Reporting & Analytics:
  • Prepare and distribute monthly production reports, summarizing production activities, inventory levels, and variances in demand.
  • Develop additional reports for management and other internal stakeholders, supporting data-driven insights for supply chain improvements.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  • Coordinate the submittal process for products requiring agency approvals, tracking requests and approvals to provide accurate ship dates for state-approved materials.

Qualifications And Experience

• BS or BA degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in demand planning, supply chain, and inventory management
• Minimum 3 years' experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and advanced planning tools
• Strong working knowledge and ability with Microsoft Office software applications
• Must be a self-starter, good with time management, strong interpersonal communication and people skills
• Must have ability to prioritize and multitask effectively, and work responsibly with or without direct supervision, with exceptional attention to detail and quality. Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively within a cross-functional team
• Familiarity with Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies is preferred
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Willingness to travel as needed, with a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
