Job summary

Nestlé S.A. in Missouri seeks a Demand Planning Specialist to optimize the demand forecast and enhance end-to-end supply chain performance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Demand forecasting and analysis to support accurate forecasts and identify changes in demand patterns.
  • Improve forecast performance by evaluating accuracy, bias, and planning adherence.
  • Support integrated planning routines (ITP/IBP) and cross-functional planning discussions.
  • Explain forecast drivers to stakeholders and align on actions.
  • Audit and refine reports and dashboards to strengthen forecast quality tracking.
  • Identify opportunities to improve demand planning processes and develop training materials.

Position Summary:

As a Demand Planning Specialist, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the demand forecast to improve end-to-end supply chain performance. You will leverage your strong analytical skills, proficiency in business intelligence reporting tools, ability to collaborate effectively across various functions, and experience with integrated business planning best practices to generate an optimal forecast. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing demand trends, generating insights, developing/refining key performance indicators, and driving performance improvements to ensure alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Demand Forecasting and Analysis:Analyze historical sales, shipment, forecast, customer, promotional and market trend data to support accurate demand forecasts and identify changes in demand patterns, risks and opportunities.
  • Forecast Performance Improvement:Evaluate forecast accuracy, bias, forecast value add, promotional impacts, exception trends and planning adherence to diagnose performance gaps and support root-cause analysis.
  • Integrated Planning Support:Support formal ITP/IBP routines by preparing forecast performance insights, maintaining planning inputs, aligning key assumptions and contributing to cross-functional planning discussions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with key stakeholders to explain forecast drivers, resolve planning questions, align on actions and support business decision-making.
  • Reporting and Business Insights:Audit and refine reports, dashboards and planning insights where appropriate to strengthen forecast quality tracking, surface demand risks/opportunities and provide recommendations that drive performance improvement.
  • Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to improve demand planning processes, document best practices, develop training materials and help implement standards that improve forecast quality and planning efficiency.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, or a related field, with a focus on data analysis and integrated business planning

OR

Associate’s degree and 5+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, or a related field, with a focus on data analysis and integrated business planning

OR

High school diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain Analytics, or a related field, with a focus on data analysis and integrated business planning

The approximate pay range for this position is $70,000.00 to $96,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
