Job summary

Spin Master seeks a Demand Planning Lead to build SKU-level forecast models using sales, marketing, and finance insights. You will forecast, manage the demand plan by SKU, customer, and DC, and align supply with demand to meet profitability goals.

You will collaborate with account managers and supply planners to address stockouts, optimize safety stock, monitor PO execution, and contribute to S&OP planning and promotional impact analysis.

Qualifications

• A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in demand planning and operational business aspects (e.g., lead times, MOQ, safety stocks).
• Strong analytical background with experience in professional reporting and statistical modeling.
• Deep understanding of forecasting concepts such as MAPE, WMAPE, and BIAS.
• Working knowledge of planning systems like DSX, Oracle (Demantra), or JDE.
• Ability to translate complex data trends into actionable business insights for sales and finance partners.

Job description

What will you work on?

As the Demand Planning Lead, you will create and maintain SKU-level forecast models by incorporating business intelligence from sales, marketing, and finance. You will perform deep data analysis to recognize patterns and adjust forecasts, ensuring our supply chain is aligned to meet customer demand and business profit goals.

How will you create impact?

Develop initial forecast models based on historical data and promotional causal factors. Manage a demand plan at the SKU, customer, and Distribution Center (DC) level in both dollars and units. Identify and resolve out-of-stock issues by analyzing safety stock levels and shortage occurrences. Partner with account managers to review vendor scorecards and resolve chronic issues such as fill rates and forecast accuracy. Collaborate with supply planners to track purchase order execution and inventory distribution from manufacturing to DCs. Lead demand planning inputs for the S&OP process, making recommendations on consumption and financial plans. Analyze impact of promotional strategies, including placement and acquisition methods, to optimize margins. Conduct factory capacity and supplier make-plan analysis for promotional and seasonal inventory.

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Connecticut is $110,000 to $120,000 Per Annum. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
