Job summary

Life Fitness is seeking a Demand Planner / Inventory Analyst in Rosemont, IL to forecast finished goods, manage inventory, and ensure product availability.

You will build forecasts, analyze data, support SIOP, and collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations. This hybrid role offers remote Mondays and Fridays and in-office Tue-Thu.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in demand planning, strong Excel and Oracle experience, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory planning, or similar supply chain role.
• 2+ years of experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, or related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookup, SUMIF).
• Ability to build forecasting and financial models.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts for finished goods across business units.
• Analyze historical data, identify trends, and improve forecast accuracy.
• Review forecast assumptions and challenge conclusions supported by data.
• Analyze forecast errors, stockouts, and excess inventory to identify root causes and solutions.
• Translate revenue forecasts into unit forecasts.
• Monitor inventory levels and product availability at the U.S. distribution center.
• Develop reports/dashboards tracking key supply chain metrics.
• Support the SIOP process by consolidating forecast information from teams.
• Support new product launches and phase-in/phase-out planning.
• Build forecasting models and scenarios using Excel and other tools.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reporting, and tools.
• Maintain accurate planning and product data in Oracle.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, Supply Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Service, Product Management.

This is a hybrid role based in Rosemont, IL, with remote work on Mondays and Fridays and in-office collaboration days Tuesday through Thursday

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts for finished goods across business units.
• Analyze historical data, identify trends, and use insights to improve forecast accuracy.
• Review forecast assumptions and challenge conclusions that aren't supported by data.
• Analyze forecast errors, stockouts, and excess inventory to identify root causes and recommend solutions.

• Support new product launches and product phase-in/phase-out planning.
• Build forecasting models and scenarios using Excel and other analytical tools.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, reporting, and tools.
• Maintain accurate planning and product data in Oracle.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, Supply Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Service, and Product Management.
• Perform additional analysis and projects as needed.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory planning, or a related supply chain role.
• 2+ years of experience with Oracle or a similar ERP system.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions, and SUMIF.
• Ability to build and work with forecasting and financial models.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain data and insights to non-technical audiences.
• Strong organizational and priority-management skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and locations.

Preferred

• MBA or advanced degree.
• ASCM/APICS certification or actively pursuing certification.
• Experience with Power BI or other Business Intelligence tools.
• Experience with Business Intelligence/database reporting.
• Process improvement or process design experience.
• Experience with SIOP/S&OP.
• Experience supporting new product launches and product phase-in/phase-out.
