Spectrum Staffing Services is seeking a Demand Planner in New Jersey to connect customer requirements with production capacity and material readiness.

You will lead cross-functional coordination with operations, purchasing, and commercial teams to keep plans practical and responsive to priorities, translating forecasts into actionable production plans and maintaining master schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, or related discipline.
• At least 5 years of materials planning experience in manufacturing.
• Experience facilitating or leading S&OP activities.
• ERP systems and MS Office proficiency; strong analytical and coordinating skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.
• Preferred: MBA or advanced supply chain degree; CPIM/CSCP certification.
• Nice to have: aerospace/defense manufacturing experience; Lean Six Sigma training/certification.

Responsibilities

• Translate demand forecasts and available capacity into actionable monthly production plans and maintain a weekly master schedule.

This position offers the opportunity to influence planning decisions, lead cross-functional coordination, and improve delivery performance in a technically focused production setting. The role involves partnering with operations, purchasing, and commercial teams to keep plans practical, accurate, and responsive to changing priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate demand forecasts and available capacity into actionable monthly production plans and maintain a corresponding weekly master schedule.
• Coordinate the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle, helping teams align priorities and identify opportunities to strengthen the process.
• Evaluate inventory and material requirements, track potential shortages, and recommend adjustments to protect production and delivery commitments.
• Partner with manufacturing, procurement, and sales stakeholders to review capacity, resolve scheduling conflicts, and communicate changes.
• Maintain accurate planning data for current and newly introduced products within relevant systems.
• Track planning performance measures, support continuous improvement efforts, and follow open issues through resolution.
• Release and coordinate production work orders while helping teams secure the drawings, components, and documentation required for execution.
• Contribute to cross-functional planning discussions, communicate supply chain risks, and propose practical corrective actions.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of materials planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating or leading S&OP activities.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications; strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to travel up to 15%.
• Preferred: advanced degree in supply chain or an MBA; APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
