Job summary

Henkel is seeking a Demand Planner in California to own the monthly demand forecast and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations. You will lead S&OP cycles, analyze inputs, and drive improvements to service levels and inventory efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in a related field and 2+ years in demand planning, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel; SAP and IBP experience is preferred and Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain item-level base forecasts in volume and value.
  • Collaborate with Sales/Marketing on forecast inputs (trade plans, launches, cannibalization).
  • Lead monthly S&OP meetings across sales, marketing, finance, operations.
  • Improve forecast accuracy to raise service levels and reduce inventory.

What you´ll do
  • Maintain detailed item level base business forecasts in volume and value and proactively anticipate and track risks and opportunities to the forecast
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to analyze quantitative and qualitative inputs to the forecast such as trade promotion plans, competitive impacts, new item launches, and cannibalization in the development and delivery of the monthly demand plan
  • Lead a monthly drumbeat of meetings as part of the Sales and Operations Planning process, coordinating cross functionally between sales, marketing, finance and operations
  • Improve forecast accuracy to drive improvement in KPIs such as service level and inventory carry
  • Originate and implement continuous improvements to the demand planning and S&OP processes
  • Support the company’s culture and business mission by promoting communication, teamwork, and the respectful treatment of all individuals
What makes you a good fit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a Demand Planning or similar role is required.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, and the ability to influence and collaborate with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated leadership and process improvement skills (proven ability to identify, conduct root cause analysis and take action to fix issues)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of integrated business management processes.
  • SAP and IBP experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel is required. Power BI experience is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $90,000.00 and $105,000.00. This range represents the good‑faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate’s skills, experience, education, training, and work location.
