Job summary

Ergobaby in Torrance, CA is seeking a Demand & Inventory Planner to translate sales trends into accurate forecasts and inventory plans. You’ll support forecasting, S&OP, and cross-functional decision-making with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain.

The hybrid role combines analytical work with proactive planning. You’ll monitor forecast accuracy, manage inventory health, and develop purchase recommendations to protect service levels for consumer goods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, business analytics, or related area.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel with lookups, pivot tables, and basic modeling.
• Experience in consumer goods, retail, S&OP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned brands and product portfolios
• Monitor forecast accuracy and identify drivers, trends, and opportunities for improvement
• Analyze inventory health, including months of supply, in-stock rates, and excess or obsolete inventory
• Develop inventory purchase recommendations based on demand forecasts and business priorities
• Identify stockout, excess inventory, and product lifecycle risks
• Maintain planning parameters such as lead times, safety stock, and minimum order quantities
• Support monthly S&OP activities through reporting, analysis, and actionable insights
• Partner across Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to align forecasts and inventory plans
• Support promotions, product launches, transitions, and continuous improvement initiatives

Ergobaby is looking for a Demand & Inventory Planner to help translate sales trends, business priorities, and market insights into effective demand forecasts and inventory plans. This role supports the full planning lifecycle, including forecasting, inventory analysis, S&OP, and cross-functional decision-making. You’ll partner with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to turn complex data into clear recommendations that improve forecast quality, inventory health, and service levels.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2 to 5 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, business analytics, or a related area
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Excel, including lookups, pivot tables, and basic modeling
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
• Availability to support global meetings, including occasional early-morning meetings with EU colleagues
• Experience in consumer goods, retail, manufacturing, S&OP, business intelligence tools, or ERP and planning systems is a plus.
