Job summary

American Leather in Dallas, TX is seeking Deluxers to support our climate-controlled facility. The role requires 8-10 hour shifts, standing continuously, and forty hours per week with overtime as needed.

You will read travelers for correct components, ensure the finished furniture is clean and ready to ship, perform repairs, and coordinate with the stuffer and packager as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per shift in a climate-controlled environment.
• Able to lift and move heavy furniture (up to 200 lbs).
• Willingness to work forty hours per week and overtime if needed.

Summary:

Deluxers must be able to work 8-10-hour shifts in a climate control environment requiring continuous standing. The end time for this area varies depending on schedules. Deluxers must work forty hours a week and be flexible to work overtime if needed.

What you will be doing:

• Read traveler for correct components of the frame style, deck label, law label, leg color, suspension, shipping label, and other options as required. Inspect pieces for straight seams, sewing correct, leather, and law label and mechanism inspection as required by line.
• Make furniture ready by ensuring the finished product is clean and ready to ship.
• Repair work as required.
• Work with stuffer and packager as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Frequent lifting of furniture (10 lbs.-200 lbs.)
• Occasional bending
• Occasional pushing/pulling
• Continuous standing up to 8-10 hours per shift
• Frequent gripping and positioning of foam
