Catalyx is seeking a PCS Hardware Engineer to lead the design, coordination, and documentation of physical hardware for Emerson DeltaV DCS installations, ensuring integration with process equipment, instrumentation, electrical systems and network infrastructure.

You will work across design teams and site personnel to align with standards, support long-term automation roadmaps, and document hardware layouts, cabinets, racks, and power and cooling needs.

Competenze

• Experience designing and implementing PCS/DCS hardware systems.
• Hands-on with control system cabinets, panels, remote I/O, servers, workstations, networking hardware.
• Experience integrating hardware with vendor equipment and packaged skids.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation, electrical interfaces, industrial networking, and system integration.
• Experience developing hardware design documentation and vendor scopes of work.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, site personnel, vendors, design-build contractors, and system integrators.
• Strong technical problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.
• Previous experience supporting large-scale industrial, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or process engineering projects is preferred.

Mansioni

• Lead the technical design and layout of PCS hardware, including cabinets, panels, racks, servers, workstations, network equipment, and power supplies.
• Coordinate with site automation personnel to align designs with site standards, operational needs, and the long-term automation roadmap.
• Review control rooms, equipment layouts, and technical spaces to ensure appropriate access, cable routing, environmental conditions, power, cooling, and maintenance clearances.
• Collaborate with process, instrumentation and controls, electrical, networking, and equipment engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Support long-lead process equipment integration, including vendor-supplied packages, remote I/O cabinets, hardware interfaces, and definition of vendor scopes of work.
• Identify and resolve hardware layout, interface, and integration issues before procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain PCS hardware design documentation and support related project deliverables.
• Coordinate design requirements with the Design-Build Firm, system integrators, and equipment vendors, serving as the technical design lead for PCS hardware.
