Job summary

Applied Control is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to support our customers across multiple states. This on-site role focuses on Emerson DeltaV DCS projects, process automation, and customer collaboration to deliver robust control solutions.

You will design, implement, and test DeltaV control systems, develop documentation, conduct acceptance testing, train operators, and assist in system upgrades while adhering to safety and project standards. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS systems.
• Proficiency with Windows Server and client OS.
• Experience with DeltaV documentation and specs.
• Ability to troubleshoot logically and timely.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers.
• Knowledge of automation, DCS, instrumentation, PLCs, HMIs.
• Ability to read P&ID, electrical schematics, networks, and process descriptions.

Responsibilities

• Be the on-site DeltaV engineer for the customer.
• Design DeltaV control systems and implement control logic.
• Produce control system documentation and specifications.
• Implement designs in DeltaV and perform testing.
• Lead factory/site acceptance testing.
• Develop and deploy process simulation.
• Provide operator and maintenance training.
• Install and start up control systems; manage upgrades.
• Identify opportunities for product upgrades with customers.
• Collaborate with sales as a technical expert.
• Deliver quality solutions across industries.
• Share Emergency Call responsibilities.
• Travel to other customer facilities as needed.
• Learn new automation products regularly.
• Adhere to safety practices; OS administration familiarity.
