Job summary

Dyno Nobel in Louisiana, MO is seeking an Instrumentation and Control Technician to monitor and maintain DeltaV control systems, perform firmware updates, and manage lifecycle and security. The role requires an associate degree or 5+ years in automation, experience with DCS/PLC, DeltaV or Rockwell ControlLogix, HMI configuration, and ISA 84/IEC 61511 knowledge.

You will work in a manufacturing setting to enhance reliability and safety.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree or 5+ years in industrial automation or control systems.
Experience with DCS/PLC in an industrial, manufacturing, or chemical plant environment.
Knowledge of DeltaV or Rockwell ControlLogix, HMI configuration, and industrial databases.
Understanding of ISA 84 / IEC 61511 safety standards.
Experience with SQL Server or MS Access and industrial networking.

Responsibilities

Perform firmware updates and lifecycle management for DeltaV hardware.
Upgrade operating systems, service packs, patches, and virus protection.
Maintain network security, user management, and control system libraries.
Configure alarm attributes, logging, and system reliability improvements.
Develop and tune control loops; document strategies with SAMA/logic block diagrams.
Support preventive maintenance programs with E&I technicians.
