Job summary

Hydrite in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a Controls Engineer to evaluate, design, program, commission, and sustain plant control systems (DeltaV, PLC, HMI) and related instrumentation in a safety‑focused operation.

You will lead system changes through the MOC process, maintain Maximo preventive maintenance plans, and collaborate with engineering, operations, IT/OT, and contractors to improve reliability, efficiency, and data quality across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of instrumentation and control systems experience.
• Minimum 3 years interfacing with contractors.
• Strong computer skills in MS Office; Maximo experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support safety initiatives across controls, instrumentation, and contractor activities.
• Evaluate, design, program, install, test, commission, and sustain plant control systems.
• Troubleshoot and optimize control systems for safe, reliable operations.
• Develop and enforce control system standards and documentation.
• Support capital projects from procurement to startup.
