Novartis in Durham, NC is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer – DeltaV to lead automation initiatives within a GMP manufacturing environment. You will serve as a technical expert, design, configure, and optimize DeltaV control strategies, and drive the full automation lifecycle from implementation to handover.

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Validation and IT to deliver reliable solutions that improve product quality and compliance with GMP and FDA 21 CFR Part 11.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with 8+ years GMP pharma experience.
Hands-on DeltaV DCS programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Experience with regulated environments (FDA 21 CFR Part 11) and lifecycle validation.

Responsibilities

Serve as a DeltaV SME for GMP manufacturing automation.
Design, configure, troubleshoot DeltaV control strategies.
Lead automation projects from concept to handover.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, IT.
Drive continuous improvement for reliability and quality.
Ensure GMP, FDA, and data integrity compliance.
