Job summary

Tech Rakers, Inc. urgently seeks four DeltaV Batch Automation Engineers for a cGMP pharmaceutical site in North Carolina. You will provide round-the-clock DeltaV support as part of a rotating shift and on‑call roster to ensure continuous production.

Roles focus on troubleshooting, system administration, change control, and CSV/documentation in FDA-regulated environments. On‑site work is required in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in automation, control, electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 5–7 years’ hands‑on experience supporting Emerson DeltaV DCS in cGMP pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of DeltaV Explorer, Control Studio, Operate, Diagnostics and DeltaV batch (S88).
• Working knowledge of FDA cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, CSV / GAMP 5 principles and change control.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and participate in an on‑call rota.
• Strong troubleshooting, incident-management and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide shift-based operational support for Emerson DeltaV DCS to maintain system availability and stable performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve DCS faults promptly to minimise downtime.
• Respond to operator and production requests with first-line automation support on the floor.
• Perform routine system administration, backups and user management.
• Support minor configuration changes under formal change control.
• Support CSV activities and maintain compliant documentation per 21 CFR Part 11.
• Document incidents and shift handovers; assist RCA and CAPA.
• Liaise with operations, automation, IT, QA and vendors on investigations.
• Maintain system security, patching and data integrity.
• Support maintenance, shutdowns and turnaround activities; participate in on‑call rota.
