Job summary

Dell Technologies Services Undergraduate Engineering Intern in Round Rock, TX or Hopkinton, MA. You will work with product technologists, serviceability engineers, test and quality engineers, industrial designers, service technicians, and software engineers.

You will tackle root cause analysis, evaluate complex problems, and develop actionable plans and recommendations. Collaboration and communication are essential for success in this internship.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited BS program with upper-level engineering courses and on track to graduate late 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Able to write and decipher requirements, functional specifications, design specs, test plans and documentation.
• Basics of x86 and ARM architectures.
• Basics of microprocessor, digital logic design and embedded systems.
• Basics of Microsoft operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Work within DellTechnologiesServicesteams for root cause identification and resolution of service event drivers.
• Evaluate ambiguous and complex problems with cost-benefit and risk analyses.
• Integrate trends and data into plans, deliverables and recommendations.
• Anticipate operational, program and implementation issues and develop preventative measures.
• Adapt projects based on customer or business partner feedback.

Essential Requirements

• Enrolled in an accredited Bachelor of Science program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering,Electronic Systems Engineering Technologyor Computer Sciences. Coursework must include a substantial number of upper-level engineering courses. On track to graduate during December 2027 orSpring 2028
• Able to write and decipher requirements, functional specifications, design specifications, test plans,and documentation
• Possess basic understanding of computer architectures like x86 and ARM
• Possess basic understanding of Microprocessor, digital logic design,and embedded systems design
• Possess basic understanding of software operating systems including Microsoft based products

Desirable Requirements:

• Must be able to effectively interface with others inside and outside the Engineering functionand understand working in a team environment
• Able to organize and manage multiple projects, set priorities,and work independently under tight timelines

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this position is $27.10 - $31.80 hourly.
