Job summary

PSS Cross Country Infrastructure Solutions in Ruston, LA, is seeking a Driver/Material Handler to pick up and deliver products and perform warehouse duties. You’ll operate forklifts and pallet jacks, load and unload shipments, and help maintain accurate inventory.

The role requires a high school diploma, strong math and problem-solving skills, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and a valid driver's license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• CDL and forklift experience or ability to obtain certification.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record and 3+ years driving.
• Strong math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
• Clear verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Safely pick up and deliver products within the local branch area.
• Drive company trucks to and from customers or vendors, completing deliveries on time.
• Transport products to local customers using company trucks and trailers (if applicable).
• Maintain company vehicles by keeping them clean and reporting maintenance or safety concerns.
• Pull, stage, and prepare products from designated inventory locations with accuracy.
• Package and secure outbound shipments, ensuring products are damage-free and ready for delivery.
• Unload incoming trucks, verify materials against delivery tickets, and resolve discrepancies.
• Check vendor packing lists, update PO Stock Tickets, and record inventory movements.
• Stock and organize products in assigned locations while keeping inventory records current.
• Conduct inventory control audits to maintain stock accuracy.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and ladders.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
