Job summary

Johnstone Supply, a leading HVACR wholesale distributor, seeks a qualified warehouse/delivery associate to operate forklifts, load and unload trucks, and manage inventory with RF scanners. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1+ year truck driving experience, forklift certification, and familiarity with warehouse systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 1+ years of truck driving experience or 1 year operating Johnstone equipment/vehicles.
• Experience operating forklift safely and competently.
• Preferred: 6+ months of warehouse/distribution experience, HVAC/R familiarity, RF scanner and inventory systems experience; knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate basic power equipment to locate, store, and move products daily; stock and replenish inventory.
• Receive product by unloading trucks and verify shipments against packing lists.
• Ensure bar code labels and stock numbers are readable and correctly labeled; complete paperwork for discrepancies.
• Pick and pack items for orders, minimize damage, and document shipments.
• Carry out routine maintenance on warehouse machinery and report safety concerns.
• Maintain safe work environment and comply with company safety rules and MSDS requirements.
• Drive company vehicles safely, follow routes and schedules, and perform routine vehicle inspections.
