Job summary

Georgia Poultry Equipment Company, a division of Hog Slat, Inc., is seeking a Delivery/Warehouse Assistant for our Forest, MS location to support shipping, inventory, and on-site customer service. You will make deliveries, stock shelves, and help maintain a clean facility while advising customers on suitable poultry parts and equipment.

The role requires basic PC skills, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry facilities.
• General PC familiarity.
• Must possess a valid drivers license and maintain satisfactory license.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to use Outlook Email, Word, Excel in daily communications.
• Ability to become proficient with Georgia Poultry's Invoicing and Inventory Management software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in shipping & receiving of merchandise in warehouse.
• Stock store shelves to maintain appropriate inventory level.
• Make deliveries to customer’s farms and other Hog Slat locations.
• Help to maintain a clean and organized store front and warehouse.
• Work with Georgia Poultry customers to understand their needs.
• Give customers recommendations on parts & equipment to address their needs.
• Maintain a bio-security kit in your vehicle at all times for farm visits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.

• Assist in shipping & receiving of merchandise in warehouse
• Stock store shelves to maintain appropriate inventory level
• Make deliveries to customer’s farms and other Hog Slat locations
• Help to maintain a clean and organized store front and warehouse
• Work with Georgia Poultry customers to understand their needs
• Give customers recommendations on the best parts & equipment available at Georgia Poultry with which their needs can be addressed.
• Maintain a bio-security kit in your vehicle at all times and utilize the appropriate supplies for farm visits

Skill/Knowledge Required:

The IDEAL CANDIDATE will have the following experience/educational background:

• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern poultry facilities
• General PC familiarity
• Must possess a valid drivers license and maintain satisfactory drivers license during employment
• At least 1 year of customer service experience preferred
• Ability to use Outlook Email, Word, Excel, in daily communications
• Ability to easily become proficient at using Georgia Poultry's Invoicing and Inventory Management software.
