Job summary

Pittsburgh Public Schools is seeking an Automotive Equipment Operator I to operate and drive trucks to deliver supplies to schools and administrative offices. The role includes loading, unloading, performing pre-trip inspections, and reporting maintenance needs to the supervisor.

The position requires a valid PA driver's license, a High School Diploma or GED, and a clean driving record. Occasional heavy lifting may be required and residency within district boundaries is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of City of Pittsburgh traffic laws, names and locations of city streets, schools and buildings of the Pittsburgh School System.
• Minimum of one year experience operating large trucks owned by the School District.
• Clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Operates automobiles, trucks or vans to deliver supplies to schools or administrative offices.
• Loads, transports and unloads materials to requested locations.
• Performs required Pennsylvania DOT pre trip inspections and reports maintenance needs.
