Amarr Garage Doors, part of the ASSA ABLOY group, seeks a delivery truck driver in Addison, IL. This role involves delivering to customers, loading and unloading cargo, and assisting in warehouse tasks when not on the road.

Qualifications

• Load/unload products accurately and inspect for damage.

This is a physically demanding job with consistent heavy lifting in a non- climate controlled environment. Please only apply if you are comfortable working in those conditions.

In this position you will

• Provide deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner while strictly following Amarr’s policies spelled out in the Driver Handbook (including pre-trip, inspections, log books , safe driving, etc.).
• Keep all drivers certification documents ready and available for display at all times .
• Assist in the completion of production orders in warehouse when not driving.
• Accurately load & unload customers. (Inspect for damaged materials).
• Unload and accurately receive incoming product .

Requirements

• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum 1 year of delivery driving experience required (2+ years preferred).
• Minimum 1 year experience driving box trucks or similar.
• Warehouse duties performed in a non- climate controlled environment.
• Must be able to read and speak English per DOT guidelines.
• Frequent stooping, bending, walking, carrying, and lifting (50-75 lbs.).
• Ability to meet and comply with DOT regulations.
• Successfully complete internal Driver Training Program
• Motor Vehicle report must meet Amarr’s s driver standards
• Must be 21 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent.

The Details

This position is Monday - Friday from 7:30am – 4pm, however flexibility is required in case early or late deliveries are needed. The pay rate is $ 28-33 / hr based on but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications . Additional compensation can include driving bonuses and target bonuses.
