Accendra Health is seeking a Delivery Technician to support in Hickory, NC. You will safely deliver, set up, and pick up durable medical equipment in patient homes with a focus on clear instruction and compassionate service.

The role emphasizes patient safety, reliability, and hands‑on responsibilities in a small team with a stable schedule and on‑call expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and being 21 years or older are required.
• Completion of Apria’s Driver Training Program is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift, carry and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Deliver, set up, and pick up DME and supplies inside patient homes.
• Provide instruction on equipment use with clear, compassionate service.
• Maintain professional customer interactions during daily deliveries.
• Complete delivery logs, pickup forms, and vehicle documentation accurately.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and assist with maintenance as needed.

Delivery Technician – Hickory, NC

About the Role The Delivery Technician delivers, sets up, and picks up durable medical equipment (DME) in patient homes. You will educate patients on basic equipment use and ensure safe operation while providing high‑quality customer service.

Salary range

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $17.50 - $23.00. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job‑related factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

On‑Call Transparency

• On‑call rotation once every other week.
• Rotation runs Monday–Sunday
• Paid an on‑call stipend paid from the moment you leave home for a call
• Overtime paid if on‑call causes over 40 hours in the week
• Most callouts occur Saturday night and Sunday daytime

What You’ll Do

• Safely lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of daily deliveries and setups
• Deliver, set up, and pick up DME and supplies inside patient homes
• Provide clear, compassionate, professional instruction on equipment use
• Offer a high level of customer service and support to patients who may rely on this equipment for life‑sustaining needs
• Load and unload equipment from the delivery vehicle
• Respond to emergency delivery requests when needed
• Complete delivery logs, pickup forms, and vehicle documentation accurately
• Maintain supply components in patient profiles
• Assist with equipment cleaning and minor repairs
• Perform routine vehicle checks
• Support additional duties as assigned

Required

• Ability to lift, carry and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of daily deliveries and set‑ups
• High school diploma or equivalent
• No experience required!
• 21 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license
• Completion of Apria’s Driver Training Program
