Accendra Health is seeking a Delivery Technician to deliver, set up, and pick up durable medical equipment (DME) in patient homes and to educate patients on safe operation. You will be part of a small, supportive team that values reliability and hands-on care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Completion of Apria’s Driver Training Program.
• English reading, writing, and speaking skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift, carry and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs during daily deliveries and setups.
• Deliver, set up, and pick up DME and supplies inside patient homes.
• Provide clear, compassionate instruction on equipment use.
• Deliver high level of customer service to patients who rely on equipment for life-sustaining needs.
• Load and unload equipment from the delivery vehicle.
• Respond to emergency delivery requests when needed.
• Complete delivery logs and vehicle documentation accurately.
• Assist with equipment cleaning and minor repairs.

About the Role

The Delivery Technician delivers, sets up, and picks up durable medical equipment (DME) in patient homes. You will educate patients on basic equipment use and ensure safe operation while providing high‑quality customer service.

Salary Range The anticipated hourly range for this position is $18.50 - $23.50. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job-related factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.

Schedule Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM EST (flexible)

On‑Call Transparency

On‑call once every 3 weeks

Rotation runs Monday–Sunday

Paid an on‑call stipend

Paid from the moment you leave home for a call

Overtime paid if on‑call causes over 40 hours in the week

Most callouts occur Saturday night and Sunday daytime

Service radius up to 1.5 hours from the branch

Most technicians take their trucks home unless they are unable

What You’ll Do

• Safely lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of daily deliveries and setups
• Deliver, set up, and pick up DME and supplies inside patient homes
• Provide clear, compassionate, professional instruction on equipment use
• Offer a high level of customer service and support to patients who may rely on this equipment for life‑sustaining needs
• Load and unload equipment from the delivery vehicle
• Respond to emergency delivery requests when needed
• Complete delivery logs, pickup forms, and vehicle documentation accurately
• Maintain supply components in patient profiles
• Assist with equipment cleaning and minor repairs
• Perform routine vehicle checks
• Support additional duties as assigned

Required

Ability to lift, carry and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs. as part of daily deliveries and set‑ups. High school diploma or equivalent. No experience required! 21 years of age or older. Valid driver’s license. Completion of Apria’s Driver Training Program. English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
