Job summary

Accendra Health in Grayling, MI is seeking a Delivery Technician to safely deliver, set up, and pick up durable medical equipment in patient homes. You’ll educate patients on equipment use and ensure safe operation while delivering compassionate, high-quality service.

This role features a smaller branch team with an on-call rotation, overtime pay, and a stable schedule. Most deliveries are local with opportunities for additional responsibilities and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No experience required.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Completion of Apria’s Driver Training Program.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift, carry and maneuver equipment weighing up to 50 lbs in daily deliveries and setups.
• Deliver, set up, and pick up DME and supplies inside patient homes.
• Provide clear, compassionate instruction on equipment use.
• Offer high level of customer service and support for life-sustaining needs.
• Load and unload equipment from delivery vehicle.
• Respond to emergency delivery requests when needed.
• Complete delivery logs, pickup forms, and vehicle documentation accurately.
• Perform routine vehicle checks and assist with equipment cleaning and minor repairs.

Delivery Technician – Grayling, MI

About the Role

The Delivery Technician delivers, sets up, and picks up durable medical equipment (DME) in patient homes. You will educate patients on basic equipment use and ensure safe operation while providing high‑quality customer service.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

On‑Call Transparency

• On‑call rotation every other week. Rotation runs Monday–Sunday
• Paid an on‑call stipend
• Paid from the moment you leave home for a call
• Overtime paid if on‑call causes over 40 hours in the week
• Most callouts occur Saturday night and Sunday daytime

Travel Requirements

Service radius of approximately 2 hours from the branch. Most technicians take their trucks home unless they are unable.

Salary Range

$18.50 - $21.00 per hour Pay varies based on experience, skills, and location Eligible for Safe Driver Bonus

What You’ll Do

• Provide clear, compassionate, professional instruction on equipment use
• Offer a high level of customer service and support to patients who may rely on this equipment for life‑sustaining needs
• Load and unload equipment from the delivery vehicle
• Respond to emergency delivery requests when needed
• Complete delivery logs, pickup forms, and vehicle documentation accurately
• Maintain supply components in patient profiles
• Assist with equipment cleaning and minor repairs
• Perform routine vehicle checks
• Support additional duties as assigned
