Job summary

Federal Express Corporation in Alaska (Ketchikan station) is seeking a full-time courier to operate company vehicles for delivery and pickup of packages, ensuring compliance with FedEx service features and safety standards. The role requires a High school diploma or GED, up to 6 months courier experience preferred, ability to lift 50 lbs and read/speak English to follow traffic signs and directions.

Work hours are Mon-Fri 7AM-6PM with hourly pay in the range of $30.11–$38.93.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months courier experience preferred.
• Must be able to demonstrate area knowledge.
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license and have a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles and provide courteous and efficient delivery and pickup of packages.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
• Provide coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area.
• Provide related customer service functions.
