Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Delivery Specialist to transport orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure delivery schedules are met while delivering friendly, professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you may assist in the Yard to reach weekly hours.

As a full-time Delivery Specialist, you’ll join a team that values reliability and customer care, with opportunities to grow within the company and contribute to our strong service culture.

Qualifications

Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items
An acceptable driving record (some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
Ability to be a team player
A friendly, customer-service-driven personality

Responsibilities

Transport orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle
Ensure daily delivery schedules are met and provide friendly, professional customer service
Assist in the Yard when deliveries slow down to reach weekly hours goal
