Job summary

Carter Lumber Company is seeking a Delivery Specialist to transport orders to customers in a safe, timely manner using a company vehicle. You will help meet daily delivery schedules while delivering friendly, professional customer service.

Beyond deliveries, there are opportunities to assist in the yard when deliveries slow, supporting weekly hours goals and overall team success.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items.
• A driving record meeting state requirements (chauffeur, class C or D license may be required).
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment preferred.
• Ability to be a team player.
• Friendly, customer-service-driven personality.

Responsibilities

• Transport orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle.
• Ensure daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service.
• Assist in the Yard when deliveries slow down to reach weekly hours goals.

Description
As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record (some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• A friendly, customer-service-driven personality
