Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Delivery Specialist to transport orders to customers safely and on time using company vehicles. You will ensure daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly, professional customer service. If deliveries slow, you may assist in the yard to help reach weekly hours goals.

The role emphasizes a team-oriented, customer-first approach and requires a valid driving license and familiarity with delivering building materials and large items.

Qualifications

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture and other large items
• A clean driving record and acceptable license as required by state law
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player and deliver friendly customer service

Description

As one of our Delivery Specialists, you will be responsible for transporting orders to customers in a safe and timely manner using a company vehicle. You will ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. If deliveries slow down, you have the opportunity to help in the Yard to ensure you reach your weekly hours goal.

Requirements

• Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials, furniture, appliances and other large items that need to be handled with care
• An acceptable driving record (some states require a chauffeur, class C or class D license)
• Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment is preferred
• Ability to be a team player
• A friendly, customer-service-driven personality
