Job Overview

The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position also involves collecting money on C.O.D. deliveries and picking up customer returns.

Essential Job Functions

1. Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
2. Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete vehicle inspections.
3. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and conduct daily inspections.
4. Secure vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and collected monies at all times.
5. Pick up customer returns and complete driver return slips.
6. Communicate customer issues or needs to store management.
7. Report vehicle issues or damages immediately.
8. Ensure fuel tanks are filled and vehicles are locked and secured at the end of shifts.
9. Follow company policies for clocking in/out.
10. Perform additional duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands, and handling core returns.
11. Assist customers and serve as cashier or in merchandising as needed.

Qualifications

1. Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
2. Strong communication skills.
3. Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
4. Driving record must meet company standards (14/18-point system).
5. Legally possess a valid driver's license and meet driving eligibility requirements.

Preferred Skills

1. Familiarity with automotive parts.
2. Ability to operate light store equipment.
3. Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
