Job description

The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently.
2. Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily inspections.
3. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of delivery vehicles, including daily inspections.
4. Secure vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and collected monies at all times.
5. Pick up customer returns and complete driver return slips.
6. Communicate customer issues or needs to store management.
7. Report vehicle issues or damages immediately.
8. Ensure fuel is filled and vehicles are locked and secured at day's end.
9. Follow company policies for clocking in/out.
10. Perform additional duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands, and handling core returns as needed.
11. Assist customers, serve as cashier, or help with merchandising when required.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Driving record must meet company standards (14/18-point system).
• Valid state driver's license and compliance with eligibility requirements.
• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages, with Spanish highly desired.
