Job Description

The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. Responsibilities include collecting money on C.O.D. deliveries and picking up customer returns.

Essential Job Functions

1. Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently to deliver parts and products.
2. Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and conduct vehicle inspections.
3. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of vehicles, ensuring daily inspections are completed.
4. Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and collected monies.
5. Handle customer returns and complete driver return slips.
6. Communicate customer issues or needs to store management.
7. Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or damage immediately.
8. Ensure fuel tanks are filled and vehicles are locked and secured at day's end.
9. Follow company clock-in/out policies.
10. Perform other duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands, and handling core returns.
11. Assist customers or serve as cashier when needed.

Skills, Education, and Experience

Required:

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Adaptability to changing delivery situations.
• Valid state driver’s license and a driving record meeting company standards.

Desired:

• Familiarity with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate light store equipment.
