The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. This position will also collect money on C.O.D. deliveries and pick up customer returns.

Essential Job Functions

1. Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
2. Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices for processing deliveries, capturing customer signatures, updating vehicle mileage, and completing daily vehicle inspections.
3. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily vehicle inspections prior to use.
4. Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand-held devices, and monies collected at all times.
5. Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slips.
6. Communicate any customer issues or needs to store management.
7. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damages immediately.
8. Ensure fuel tanks are filled and vehicles are locked and secured at day’s end.
9. Clock in/out according to company policy.
10. Perform additional duties such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, errands, and handling core returns.
11. Assist customers or serve as a cashier when needed.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

1. Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
2. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
3. Ability to adapt to changing delivery situations.
4. Driving record must meet company standards.
5. Must possess a valid state driver’s license and meet eligibility requirements.

Desired

1. Familiarity with automotive parts.
2. Ability to operate light store equipment.
3. Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.
