Job summary

Capitol Building Supply, Inc. in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Delivery Helper to assist loading, locating job sites, backing up, preparing and restoring the job site, and ensuring the truck is ready for the following day.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, unload materials, secure loads, and navigate routes to sites while following OSHA and DOT safety guidelines. The role requires physical stamina and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate information accurately.
• Stamina to lift at least 75 lbs while handling materials.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team, with initiative and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Comply with company, state and federal guidelines, including OSHA and DOT safety requirements.
• Perform pre-trip inspections of equipment, paperwork and loaded product to ensure order accuracy.
• Safely unload product and deliver to the designated area as directed by the customer; secure loads on the truck.
• Navigate routes to job sites and maintain safe operation of the vehicle. Submit accurate information as required.
