Job summary

The Salvation Army Honolulu Distribution Center is seeking a Production Assistant 1 (Driver) to join our local delivery team. You will follow daily routing, load and unload, and provide courteous customer service while ensuring safety and on-time performance.

A valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, high school diploma, and strong time management are required. This full-time role involves local pickups and donations deliveries and requires adherence to DOT regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean Driving Record.
• Strong time management and customer service skills.
• Ability to operate electronic equipment used for daily route information.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow daily routing directions and avoid off-route deviations unless directed by supervisor.
• Manage time daily to ensure routes are completed within the work schedule.
• Responsible for safe loading and unloading of the assigned truck and assist others as needed.
• Handle donated material with safe procedures and PPE.
• Train and supervise truck helper within rehab program context.
• Complete pre- and post-checks and ensure equipment is in working order.
• Provide courteous customer service and report donor issues to dispatch.
